Professor Sergej Ostojic is an experienced senior biomedical scientist specializing in diverse research areas within medicine, applied physiology, and nutrition. He is Director of the Center for Health, Exercise and Sport Sciences and a Professor of Nutrition. His current research focuses on assessing the efficacy and safety of innovative mitochondria-related nutraceuticals, such as guanidinoacetic acid, creatine salts, nucleotides, and molecular hydrogen. These studies are directed towards addressing compromised bioenergetics in both health and disease contexts. Prof. Ostojic fosters collaborative projects focused on conducting pre-clinical development studies and clinical trials for innovative therapeutics targeting the brain, skeletal muscle and myocardium
